How can I get a quotation and what are the steps involved?

Please follow these simple steps:
Contact us either by phone or email detailing your request.
We'll get back to you to arrange a time to meet with you in your home to discuss your requirements and our availability/potential start date. 
Based on this meeting, we take into account the size and scope of your project and any other factors to consider
We then email you your free 'no obligation' quotation so that you have this in writing.

Question 3

Do you require a deposit?

This will be discussed in our meeting when we provide your quotation. A deposit will generally be required in the following circumstances: 
 
1) If you have commissioned us to made a bespoke/made-to-measure piece of furniture that may be difficult or impossible to re-sell to others, we may ask for a non-refundable deposit.
2) If we are supplying your materials, we may ask for a non-refundable deposit to cover these costs.

What areas do you cover?

We are based in Essex, so we cover the whole of this area as well as some parts of Suffolk. Depending on the size of your project, we can also travel out to London and have contracted jobs in the past as far as Kent, Surrey and even North Wales!

What is a sub-contractor?

Sometimes we work with sub-contractors, such as electricians or plumbers, as part of larger projects. We have built close working relationships with many tradespeople in the Essex area, and you can rest assured anyone we work with will be licensed to perform their specific jobs. If you have contracted R D Carpentry to manage your project, we will hire and manage these trades if they are required.

Yes, our Lead Carpenter achieved an NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry & Bench Joinery. Robby is an advanced site carpenter who carries out supervisory duties and oversees all projects at R D Carpentry. He is also a very skilled woodturner!
